We analyzed all 14,855 valid five-letter English words to find those with the most standard vowels. The analysis covers the full vowel distribution and the complete lists of 4-vowel and 3-vowel words.

We counted vowels in all 14,855 five-letter words. Most contain exactly 2 vowels (59.9%), while words with 3 or more vowels make up 11% of the total.

5-Letter Words With 5 Vowels

There are no five-letter words with five standard vowels (A, E, I, O, U). The closest is QUEUE with four vowels — Q is a consonant, leaving U, E, U, E. English requires at least one consonant to form a pronounceable five-letter word.

5-Letter Words With 4 Vowels

We found 38 five-letter words containing exactly four vowels. Words like ADIEU, AUDIO, and OUIJA are excellent for quickly testing multiple vowel positions in word games.
